Programme Note

The Mancunium Consort present a stunning programme of Renaissance works, exploring treasures from composers including Gibbons, Tallis, Monteverdi and Schütz.

The concert will feature a collaboration with The Gesualdo Six, who also perform at Hallé St Peters on Sunday 8 October at 6.30pm. Both events take place as part of Manchester Sound Gallery, a weekend of concerts, collaborations and workshops.

Students are invited to purchase a ticket which gives access to both the concert and afternoon workshop. The workshop, given by The Gesualdo Six from 1.30-3.30pm, will focus on a handful of pieces from the concert programme. The ensemble will present on a variety of technical areas including ensemble skills, vocal technique, and emotional expression.
