Kelham Hall, have announced that they are to host an exciting and ambitious programme of live music events throughout the Spring. Working in partnership with Crescendo Talent, a Live Musician and Artist booking agency from Lincoln, Kelham Hall will hold ‘An Evening of Classical Music starring Mathew Crane’ on Saturday 23rd April.
With doors opening at 7pm, the evening will feature live performances from Lincolnshire based artists and leading classical star Matthew Crane. Matthew has performed at some of the most prestigious stages in the country including The Royal Albert Hall, The O2 Arena, St David’s Hall, Cardiff & The NEC Birmingham. He has performed alongside many celebrities notably Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe. Matthew's many achievements also include being a champion of the BBC TV Talent Show, 'Let Me Entertain You'. During the evening at the Hall he shall also perform his famous version of ‘Nessun Dorma’.

Avalon Summerfield
Avalon began her musical education as a chorister at Lincoln Cathedral and as a music scholar at Lincoln Minster School. During her time as a chorister, she toured abroad to Prague, Haarlem and Loire, recorded on the Guild label (including solo appearances), and appeared a number of times on Songs of Praise and BBC Radio 3 broadcasts. A highlight was singing a solo to a packed cathedral with boy band G4. She attended the Royal College of Music Junior Department, studying voice, trumpet, piano and composition. As a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, Avalon took part in the National Festival of Music for Youth and performed at the Royal Albert Hall in a Prom with the Simón Bolívar Orchestra.
From 2012-15 Avalon read music at the University of York, graduating with a First Class Honours. During her time at York, Avalon sang with several choirs including The 24 and The Yorkshire Bach Choir. With The 24, she toured to Serbia, China and Hong Kong, performed on a live BBC broadcast and performed at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. She also soloed with the English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble at the Ryedale Festival in a performance of the Monteverdi Vespers. Avalon also appeared singing Gesualdo on BBC Radio 3's In Tune.
Jonathan Jarvis
Jonathan read Music at the University of Huddersfield, majoring in solo performance. He graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded the Rodwell Prize for Piano. While at university he performed numerous recitals and concerts, most recently Mozart's Piano Concerto in C. K467. Jonathan studies Piano with Sally Ann Macleod and has attended masterclasses with Phillip Thomas, Murray McLachlan and John Scott Whiteley. In 2014, Jonathan toured to Rotterdam with the University Big Band, and also played with the University Symphonic Wind Orchestra, who performed one of his own arrangements as part of their concert series.
Jonathan has been heavily involved with the Music for Youth Festival, appearing at the Royal Albert Hall on three occasions with award-winning big band, Jazz Vehicle. Jonathan has workshopped with many prestigious jazz musicians including Dennis Rollins, the late Abram Wilson and Tom Cawley, and performed in several high-profile events. Highlights included a private party for EMI, and an event in the Natural History Museum for Lord Sebastian Coe during the 2012 Olympics bid.
Tickets are £19.50 per person, and £17.50 for concessions. Limited tickets can also be bought on the door on the evening.
