More often heard in arrangements for orchestra, in this concert Noah performs Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition in its original version for solo piano. This stunning suite captures in music the sketches, watercolours and architectural designs that were by the composer’s close friend Vladimir Hartmann. This is performed alongside one of Beethoven’s early “grand” piano sonatas.
