After a gap of six years, Yorkshire Voices return to Leeds Town Hall to present the choral tour de force which is Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis.
The aim of this musical partnership between The Harrogate Choral Society and the Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir, both fine choirs in their own right, is to showcase works that are seldom performed because the musical resources required are often beyond that available to a single society.
Missa Solemnis has not been performed in Leeds for several years, so here is a rare opportunity to experience what is generally considered as one of the composer’s supreme achievements.
