Programme Note
Three distinguished Artists return to Leighton House after their previous successful concerts there and elsewhere. This will be a very special evening: 6:30pm doors open for a private view of the stunning museum and gallery former Home of Lord Leighton the pre-Raphaelite painter, with its stunning Arab-tiled hall. Then just after 7pm, an hour of music including one of the greatest romantic trios by Brahms preceeded by delightful short pieces by Mélanie Bonis (1907) and Sir George Dyson. Dyson studied with Stanford at the Royal College of Music, later becoming their Director. His music in traditional style is ideally suited to the salon in which the concert takes place, which seats 100. Supported by the Dyson Trust. After the concert, join the artists in the adjacent café and garden for drinks and snacks
