Programme Note

Ludlow English Song Weekend present an intimate London recital previewing some of the artists appearing at the main festival in Ludlow in April 2020.

We are delighted to present an exclusive recital at a beautiful private mansion in the heart of London in the evening of Monday 3 February 2020.

As you would expect, our Artistic Director, Iain Burnside, is putting together a sublime programme which includes music from  Finzi, Gurney, Tippett, Britten and Rebecca Clarke.

In addition, compositions from Rhian Samuel and two of our Young Composers will also be showcased and we’ll have a short informal discussion with Rhian and the Young Composers about their plans and ideas for LESW20 in April.

An optional drinks and canapé reception will be held after the recital which is a perfect way to conclude an elegant musical evening in Marylebone.
