We’re delighted to welcome back the critically acclaimed pianist, Tom Poster, playing Schumann’s magnificent Piano Concerto. Elsewhere we’re Russian all the way, with glorious romantic melodies in Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from his opera “Prince Igor”, and Rachmaninov’s final masterpiece, his Symphonic Dances. Both are extrovert works, full of musical invention and overflowing with the sounds of orchestral brilliance.
