Programme Note
A Sunday afternoon recital featuring various works from the classical and romantic period.
In this inaugural concert, violinist Julia Dräger teams up with pianist Jon Booth in probably what is the most popular Beethoven sonata for violin and piano, the "Spring".
They will also perform Mozart's sonata KV304. In the second part of the programme, there will be Brahms's Scherzo from the F.A.E. sonata, as well as a number of shorter works, including Vieuxtemps's Desespoir and two song transcriptions: Après un rêve by Fauré and Rachmaninov's Melodiya (Melody) Op. 21: No. 9, arranged by J.Heifetz.
The recital is suitable for people of all ages and is family friendly.
