Programme Note
Following on from their hugely successful sell out performance under the stunning Gaia in January 24, we are delighted to welcome back the world class Liverpool String Quartet.
The performance will take place in the atrium of the visitor centre, with the Victorian Porch providing a mesmerising backdrop to the performance.
This one-hour programme will include some of the world’s most popular and beautiful String Quartet music, as well as some other popular instrumental pieces, making for a memorable and exclusive concert experience.
The Liverpool String Quartet was founded in 2010 and is made up of musicians who met whilst playing together in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Notable performances at the Williamson Art Gallery on the Wirral, Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, the Atkinson Art Gallery, Mayer Hall, the Bombed-Out-Church, the Music Room at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and St. George’s Hall have cemented the quartet’s position as an integral part of the vibrant Liverpool music scene.
This marks the beginning of a ‘string’ of exciting exclusive events in partnership with the Liverpool String Quartet as part of their Ensemble in Residence Season at Norton Priory.
Our Artistic Directors at A Place For Us are delighted to host this event at Norton Priory.
Car parking is free and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available to purchase on the evening.
