The outstanding young Israeli pianist Yoav Levanon weaves together the passion of Robert Schumann and the elegance of Mendelssohn, alongside Liszt’s mighty B minor sonata in this thrilling solo recital.
Yoav Levanon’s UK debut features a captivating programme paying homage to several of the donors who made it possible to build the famous monument to Beethoven in Bonn: Schumann, Mendelssohn and Liszt. Illustrating his remarkable versatility and jaw-dropping virtuosity, Yoav brings his programme to a close with Gershwin’s jazz era-defining Rhapsody in Blue.

In 2021 Yoav Levanon became an exclusive recording artist with Warner Classics. His first album A monument to Beethoven features music by Liszt, Chopin, Mendelssohn and Schumann, including the works in this recital.

Presenting over 300 concerts each year, St Martin’s is transforming its artistic and cultural offer, and attracting new audiences, as it broadens the roster of artists it presents (including early career artists) and the repertoire performed in the beautiful and acoustically superb setting of the church.
HP Futures is a concert series collaboration between HarrisonParrott and St Martin-in-the-Fields, showcasing outstanding artists to audiences at the iconic London venue. The concert was recorded live at St Martin-in-the-Fields on 19 March 2022.
