Programme Note

Dream big in 2023...

Get ready to be transported to a new dimension with The Stay At Home Choir’s virtual reality version of ‘Baba Yetu’.

Grammy-award winning piece ‘Baba Yetu’ was written for the video game Civilization IV, and was originally recorded by Soweto Gospel Choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Translated from the words of the Lord's Prayer, this epic song was the first composition from a video game to be nominated for, and win, a Grammy. The unique sound includes chanting, strong rhythmic lines, and a soaring refrain, guaranteed to lift the spirits!

Are you as excited as we are? So what are you waiting for?

The Stay At Home Choir is now calling for singers who would like to be a part of this groundbreaking project. The project is open to anyone with a basic level of singing experience!

Join us for a free trial on the 20th February on Youtube for our first rehearsal with Christopher Tin and special guests!
