Programme Note
Join us for a unique 'food plus music' online premiere of Stravinsky Septet on Saturday, 28th of November at 6pm UK time.
This is far from a 'normal' concert, so why experience it in a predictable way? In collaboration with YHANGRY, the private chef at home service, we've created a new type of online premiere to experience from the comfort of your own home.
The schedule for the premiere event:
6pm UK time: YHANGRY's executive chef has developed a special menu inspired by Stravinsky and the Septet. He will lead a 2 hour cooking class where you and Greengage artists will cook together, virtually.
8pm UK time: With your delicious meal before you, we'll watch the premiere of Stravinsky Septet together. Shot in an immersive yoga studio, this filmed performance takes the viewer inside the artistic inspirations for Stravinsky’s iconic and groundbreaking work for 7 players. It is 15 minutes long.
The programme is Septet for mixed ensemble (1952-53), Igor Stravinsky.
Your ticket purchases directly support the artists, all of whom are paid by Greengage for their work. Music by permission of Boosey & Hawkes.
Stravinsky Septet is part of FOUND SPACES, a programme of online events including the premieres of 4 new digital concerts all made for the screen. There'll be talks, premieres, food plus music events, on-demand viewing and more. Join us in Greengage's continued efforts to push the boundaries of digital performances, make paid work for artists and demonstrate the power of the arts to bring people together.
Following the premiere, we will offer two on-demand experiences for people on different timezones, or if you can't make the 28th.
1) A virtual cooking class plus film screening. The group rate will be £80, so gather some friends together to do it with you! Your group will get a private 2-hour cooking class plus the screening at a time that suits you.
2) Book one of YHANGRY's professional chefs to come to your home and prepare the meal for you, and we'll set up a screen to watch the film too. This is available for London residents only and a minimum of 2 people. It will be fully COVID secure.
