Earlier this year, 1,000 members of The Self-Isolation Choir and Ralph Allwood MBE joined forces to sing a selection of some of the most joyous hymns, together even though apart, with a smile on our faces and a spring in our step! After we recorded our voices singing these wonderful hymns at home, they were combined in the studio so we could virtually sing with the amazing organs around the UK and in the US. On Thursday 29 April at 19:00 BST we will join Ralph Allwood in a virtual concert to hear the premiere performance of: Guide me, O Thou Great Redeemer from Llandaff Cathedral, Wales (Organist: Stephen Moore) Dear Lord and Father of Mankind from Peterborough Cathedral, England (Organist: Tansy Castledine) Come Down, O Love Divine from Washington National Cathedral, USA (Organist: Tom Sheehan) All My Hope on God is Founded from Belfast (St Anne's) Cathedral, Northern Ireland (Organist: Matthew Owens) Love Divine All Loves Excelling (to Blaenwern) from Liverpool Cathedral, England (Organist: Ian Tracey) How Shall I Sing That Majesty from Salisbury Cathedral, England (Organist: John Challenger) Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory from All Saints Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, Texas, USA (Organist: Clive Driskill-Smith) All Creatures of our God and King from St Paul’s Cathedral, London, England (Organist: Simon Johnson) To make matters even more exciting, we have a few very famous enthusiasts joining us to introduce each hymn! We will hear from Sir Bryn Terfel, Stephen Fry, Katherine Jenkins OBE, Harry Christophers CBE, John Rutter CBE, Wynne Evans MStJ, Alexander Armstrong, Libby Purves OBE and Ralph Allwood MBE!
