Programme Note

A digital concert by one of Oxfordshire's best-loved ensembles, to include the World Premiere of a brand new work composed by the internationally recognised baritone, Roderick Williams. The work, 'Corona', was commissioned back in 2019, before the global pandemic, and finally sees the light of day with the composer himself as soloist.

The young clarinettist Jack McNeill performs Gerald Finzi’s Clarinet Concerto, one of the finest works for the instrument, and the programme also includes Finzi's Romance for strings and ends with Elgar’s life-affirming Introduction and Allegro.

The concert can be accessed via Corona Strings' website and there are three price levels to suit the viewers' budget.
