Programme Note

We regret that due to the latest COVID legislation this event has had to be postponed.

Full refunds have been issued and we hope to announce a new date in early 2021.

The Artel Press warmly invites you to an afternoon of new music in the stunning acoustic of Liverpool Parish Church, featuring a programme of works from the composer Michael Higgins, performed by The Swinsung Euphonia.

IN KEEN AND QUIVERING RATIO accompanies the formal launch of Baize Bound Beauty a modern mystery play written by the composer and published in June 2020.

The play includes many of the works featured in this concert. The companion score rain rain, rain (ISMN 9790900245106) is also published by The Artel Press.

Higgins' works are highly contemplative, exquisitely detailed and moving - and will be of interest to audiences open to new forms in classical music and composition.

All welcome.

Visit Michael Higgins' official SoundCloud page for a preview of Tungol- Vulpecula, for organ and piano.
