Meeting Kenny Fu, who 8 years ago came out of the Purcell School to the Royal Academy of Music in 2016 as then the only pianist picked for the Sir Elton John Scholarship. Exclusive personal conversations with a secret Guest Interviewer and later with the audience in the Ask A Question section. For the music’s forthcoming flavour, check the concert title and the date, sitting in many people’s favourite season of the year and close to its noisiest day! ·         Crackling, unpre-revealed surprises from Grieg and Stravinsky, plus an incendiary Mystery Music Spot. ·         London Russian, Nikolay Medtner’s Sonata Reminiscenza ‘From Forgotten Memories’. ·         Brahms’ Opus 117 Intermezzi Nos 1 & 2 and the Intermezzo and Ballade Nos 2 & 3 from the Opus 118 Six Pieces. ·         He’ll perform the movement they'll be invited to choose from Beethoven’s ‘Hammerklavier’ Sonata (too long for an Interview Concert) after he talks about all four and what the music especially means to him. ·         And he’ll improvise on a theme taken from the audience – was this why Sir Elton picked him?
