Oxford’s own Award-winning Opera Company is back at the Playhouse with one of the greatest operas ever written. TOSCA.
A nation State under the grip of a corrupt military junta. Love; Lust; Corruption; Betrayal; Justice and Redemption all come together in this epic opera by Puccini.
Oxford Opera’s new production takes an exciting new look at this classic opera as Tosca and Cavaradossi fight for love and freedom under the shadow of the oppressor Scarpia.
Under the leadership of Music Director John Warner, the Oxford Opera Orchestra will bring the full orchestral magic that is Puccini’s masterpiece.
Directed by Katie Blackwell. Sung in English in a new translation by Christopher Cowell.
