Programme Note

PMF26's final concert is, as usual, by the Pinner Festival Choir & Orchestra (leader Rebecca Boyle), conducted by Paul Jeanes. Returning soloists are soprano Emma Walshe, counter-tenor David Gould (previously PMF conductor) & baritone Matthew Hickman. The birthday ode for Queen Mary Come ye Sons of Art by Purcell opens the concert, followed by Eternity by Marco Galvani, a lovely choral setting of three poems by Emily Dickinson, a PMF2026 commission. Two movements from Pascoe’s 2013 Secular Requiem precede the exquisite Requiem by Gabriel Fauré.
