Programme Note

For Music in Pinner's final concert of the season, on 22nd April, the exceptional mezzo-soprano Helen Charlston and pianist Emma Abbate will be performing their lovely programme: Women in Song, in which they present songs written for, by and about women.

Helen is a BBC New Generation Artist and City Music Foundation Artist, a rising star whose stylistic range and vocal colours constantly impress. Emma has played in Pinner before and is an artist of tremendous scope and thoughtfulness, always sympathetic and attuned in her many musical partnerships.
