All proceeds of this event will go to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, a small organisation working to preserve and enhance the Dales and to ensure that as many people as possible from different walks of life are able to enjoy the area.
Handel's Messiah has a European flavour to it, being written by a German who had become a British citizen and having its first performance in Ireland. In addition one of our young soloists is from the Netherlands and another from Ireland.
The Festival of Europe is a summer of concerts, walks, food, readings and other events nationwide highlighting our cultural heritage shared with other European countries.
