Prokofiev's characterful chamber music spanned pre-revolutionary Russia and the Soviet years, and this is your chance to hear it performed by one of Russia's breakout pianists; Yulia Chaplina (www.yuliachaplina.com). The London-based Steinway artist has performed extensively in Europe and Asia. She has won 1st prize in piano competitions in Paris, London, Andorra, Kiev, Kharkov, and St. Petersburg. Most notably, Chaplina won Gold in the junior section of the 5th Tchaikovsky International Competition. Having been taught by the likes of András Schiff, Mitsuko Uchida and Paul Badura-Skoda, Chaplina arrives in London with a wave of world-class training and is bound to amaze the British crowd.
