Programme Note

A very welcome and long-overdue return by the RNS to our concert series. On the programme is Schubert’s much-loved Octet,  nearly an hour of gloriously melodic music for wind and strings. The ensemble also play Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp and the sunny, outgoing Nonet by Arnold Bax, an English romantic composer whose music deserves to be much better known.
