Programme Note
Pianist Diana Gordiienko was born in 1999 in Kyiv, Ukraine. At the age of 18 she entered the Pyotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in the class of Professor Borys Fedorov, completing her studies there in 2022 and gaining a Diploma with Honours. Following the Russian invasion she was unable to continue her studies in Ukraine and, although a late applicant for admission, was awarded a full scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London to complete a Masters Degree with Professor Christopher Elton.
