The Actresses' Franchise League was founded in 1908 to unite women from across the theatre professions who wanted to support the Vote for Women movement. This talk explores the work of the League, focusing on the musicians, composers and performers who used their talents for the cause, led by Dr Naomi Paxton, Knowledge Exchange Fellow at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London.
