London Mozart Players join over 300 singers from Hackney Singers and Lewisham Choral Society to perform one of the most thrilling works in the choral repertoire.
From its hushed opening to the terrifying thunderclaps of the 'Dies irae', this is a work of electrifying intensity. With exhilarating choruses and ravishing solos, the Requiem is a joy for singers and audience alike.
The combined choirs make a welcome return to our halls, following four previous highly acclaimed performances to packed houses. This is their third collaboration with LMP, one of London’s finest orchestras with an international reputation.
Conductor Dan Ludford Thomas is Musical Director of both choirs and works with many other singers nationwide. He is currently Musical Director of the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain.
