It is an innovative musical project dreamt up, set up and led by two energetic Music Directors Jane Hobson & Daniel Timmins. It will culminate in 5 concert performances of Faure’s Requiem & Vivaldi’s Gloria in May in the UK & Malta. The ad-hoc nature of it makes it unique, for whilst there are many one-day “Come and Sing” events and numerous choirs that meet every week, the Concert Choir comprises have all come together for three months of rehearsals prior to the May-time concerts. It is a mixed choir of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses, with wide ranging degrees of experience, some whom sing regularly in other choirs, some of whom don’t read music, but all who just enjoy making fabulous music together.
