From Mozart’s famous Kegelstatt Piano Trio, said to have been inspired by a game of skittles (and possibly an accompanying pint), the trio floats through a dreamy, moonlit Nocturne inspired by an Edgar Allan Poe poem. A selection of late romantic miniatures by Max Bruch completes the recital. Written for his son, a gifted clarinettist, each piece tells it’s own particular story. Tea and biscuits are available from 2.30pm. Silk Mill Gallery, Frome DD/MM/YYYYDetails
