Join the Choir and Orchestra of the LCS for our annual concert of festive favourites.
This year’s programme includes Vaughan Williams’ much-loved ‘Fantasia on Christmas Carols’, as well as numerous Christmas classics in both familiar and new arrangements. Additional readings on the Christmas story intersperse throughout, read by television legend Peter Davison.
Audience carols include ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, alongside choral classics such as ‘O Holy Night’, ‘In the bleak midwinter’ and Holst’s ‘On Christmas Day’. The winning entry from this year’s LCS Carol Competition will also be premiered.
We welcome back soprano soloist, Emma Bell alongside bass-baritone Ashley Riches.
