Celebration Day is the Royal School of Church Music’s annual event to celebrate and give thanks for the work of the RSCM and to present its Honorary Awards. This year’s event takes place in the magnificent setting of St Albans Cathedral in Hertfordshire.
This year’s service is a wonderful opportunity for all those who enjoy Evensong to join together to share in this celebration of the work of all RSCM Honorands, church musicians and the work of the RSCM.
As well as members of RSCM churches, individual members and supporters in the St Albans and surrounding Areas, the invitation is extended to anyone who enjoys Evensong.
The massed choir will be directed by distinguished conductor Dr David Hill MBE FRSCM (director of The Bach Choir and former Director of the BBC Singers). As part of the RSCM’s Stanford centenary celebrations, the service will include music by Stanford.
Rehearsal: 14:00 – 16:15
Service: 17:00 – 18:00
