Programme Note
The Thomas Tallis Society perform partsongs, duets and piano works by Franz Schubert and Clara & Robert Schumann, conducted by Eamonn Dougan and accompanied by Jack Redman.
The Society is very pleased to be joined by the gifted young pianist, Khrystyna Mykhailichenko, who will perform two Schubert Impromptus from Opus 142. Khrystyna fled from the war in Ukraine in 2022, with her mother and sister Sasha, and was hosted by a family in Northumberland. It soon became apparent that Khrystyna was an extremely gifted pianist and her sister, a gifted violinist. The Royal Academy of Music offered Khrystyna a scholarship, and her sister was granted a scholarship to the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey.
Come and enjoy this evening of song in the atmospheric setting of St Alfege Church, Greenwich.
Book now to avoid disappointment.
