Programme Note

We are offering free tickets to anyone under 18 as youth has a special place in this concert!

The programme includes a much-loved work - Shostakovich's Second Piano Concerto - which Shostakovich wrote for his 19-year-old son to perform. Fittingly, our soloist is a young man as well - a talented young 17-year-old from The Purcell School for Young Musicians called Yazdi Madon, so we would love lots of young people to come and hear his performance.

The rest of the programme consists of Beethoven's Egmont Overture and, in the second half, Tchaikovsky's brilliant, intense and dramatic Fourth Symphony.

Don’t miss out on free tickets for all your young people - book free and standard tickets online (£13 or £16 on the day/on the door).
