Programme Note

This afternoon concert in Petersham is organised by the German Protestant Congregations West London (Deutsche Evangelische Kirchengemeinden London-West).

The Aeneas Ensemble will present a varied programme consisting of contrasting works for one and two violins with and without piano by composers from the baroque and romantic period.

Its members are the two German violinists Julia Dräger and Sylvia Eisermann and the British pianist Jonathan Booth.

Two of the founding members of the ensemble, Julia Dräger and Jonathan Booth,  are based in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames and have been in high demand as instrumental teachers for many years. They also perform  as a violin/piano duo. The third member is Sylvia Eisermann, violinist in the Bavarian State Orchestra (Munich), who also plays in other orchestras and ensembles internationally.

The Aeneas Ensemble has been invited to make guest appearances in Europe (including Rome, Venice and Paris).

The Aeneas Ensemble, London: Jon Booth, piano, Julia Dräger, violin, Sylvia Eisermann, violin
