Add to my Calendar 13-04-2016 13:00 13-04-2016 15:00 36 Solo Violin Recital Anna Orlik Polish violinist Anna Orlik has been awarded many prizes in international violin and chamber music competitions, among others is Violin Winner at the Deena Shypitka 2015 Music Award in the UK and 1st Prize and Special Prize winner at the 6th International Wolfgang Marschner Violin Competition in Germany. Her performing experience includes solo appearances with German and Polish orchestras, for example the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, and recitals and concerts in Poland, UK, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Ukraine, Tunisia.She has received the scholarship awards: the Ministry of Culture, Young Poland, Polish Children's Found, the Royal Academy of Music- Entrance Scholarship, Leverhulme Trust, Jenkins Award, and Tillett Trust/ Colin Keer Trust, and is an artist promoted by Talent Unlimited. Since 2016, Anna is generously supported by the Zetland Foundation.Anna plays an Nicolò Gagliano violin loaned from the Royal Academy of Music.    http://aorlik.wix.com/anna-orlik-violinist Wednesday Lunchtime Recitals St Botolph’s has been running lunchtime recitals since April 2012.They have proved a popular way to relax at lunchtime with first rate music given by a range of performers; from soloists from London’s prestigious music schools to international recitalists travelling to London to perform on St Botolph’s historic organ. Admission is free but a retiring collection is taken to support the soloists and the work of the church. The recitals last for 30mins and begin at 13.05 on Wednesdays.
