Programme Note
London Concord Singers invite you to celebrate Summer in music, from Delius' Two Songs to be sung of a Summer night on the water, to Britten's Five Flower Songs, Elgar in part-song mood and John Rutter celebrating British traditional songs. There are Spirituals arranged by Tippett and music for male chorus by Finzi and Bantock, whilst things take a darker turn with Poulenc's seven settings of Surrealist poets.
