Programme Note

Dan Shilladay conducts the Nonesuch Orchestra in a delightful programme  for summer at the beautiful St Clement's church in the Strand.

FREE ADMISSION, with a retiring collection to support the orchestra's vital and hugely popular work with London schools.

The concert opens with Telemann's enchanting depiction of the madcap adventures of Don Quixote.  Then comes an explosion of galactic colours in Jessie Montgomery's "Starburst", and to finish, C P E Bach's thrilling Flute Concerto in D minor with special guest Peter Robertson as soloist.  50 minutes start to finish - what better way to spend a summer lunchtime?
