Add to my Calendar 16-11-2024 18:30 16-11-2024 20:30 36 Discoveries for Piano Four Hands For the second concert of our Discoveries series Philomel Creative Circle presents an evening of piano extravaganza with PCC founding members Nafis Umerkulova and Pavel Timofeyevsky making their full concert debut as a four-hand duo. Nafis and Pavel will perform and talk about some of the most renowned compositions created for piano duo including Schubert’s epic and melancholic Fantasy, Ravel’s magical and playful Mother Goose Suite and Poulenc’s fiery and feisty Sonata. The concert will also feature performances of exciting and captivating solo piano music by leading British contemporary composers Brendan Ashe (to include a world premiere of his music) and Euan Moseley. 6pm Doors open; drinks & light snacks will be available to purchase from this time too6.30pm Concert begins; running time will be c.100 minutes, including a 20 minute interval; please feel free to stay and mingle with the performers afterwards, or head off to enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening   We’re very grateful to Markson Pianos for providing the beautiful concert grand at St Cuthbert’s Church and making our season of concerts possible.
