Programme Note

The main event in our spring concert is Antonin Dvorak's glorious Mass in D in which the Garleton Singers will be accompanied by a wind quintet.  We are also singing Carl Nielsen's Af Sommernattagernes Spind, 6 wonderfully eccentric Danish Folk Songs.  The final choral piece, also for choir and wind quintet, is the British premiere of Michael Topel's Gloria Fantasia.  The wind quintet will also perform Anton Reicha's Op.88 No. 2 to complete the springtime optimism of the concert.
