Add to my Calendar 17-09-2017 15:45 17-09-2017 17:45 36 Seraphim Discover amazing medieval gems in the company of Seraphim on a very special musical journey within the fine city of Norwich. Experience the early melodies of Thomas Aquinas in the tiniest of chapels, on the very site where the mystic Julian of Norwich recorded her revelations - the first book ever to be written by a woman in English. Wonder at the surprising loftiness of St. Helen's as the magical a cappella sounds of angelic voices bridge the centuries with offerings of Purcell, Poulenc and Telemann; then learn about the church’s connection with the Great Hospital and its time-honoured tradition as home to the elderly poor of the city. Lunch has been especially arranged in one of its magnificent iconic halls; then it’s time to enjoy a gentle meander through the Cathedral’s beautiful grounds to the historic church of St. George's, Tombland, where Seraphim’s final mini-concert masterpiece in medieval surroundings will be followed by tea. Leave the modern world behind for a day and soak up the atmosphere of a bygone age. Feast on delightful hospitality and Seraphim’s unrivalled a cappella sound in stunning ancient surroundings and relax, within the company of fellow “pilgrims”, escorted on your own coach by our friendly guides.
