Summer School Live – A Singing Weekend with Choir of the Earth
27–30 June 2025
Bristol, UK
Join internationally recognised conductor Ben England BEM and Choir of the Earth for an unforgettable Come-and-Sing weekend in the heart of Bristol. Open to singers of all levels, this friendly event offers a packed programme of rehearsals, concerts, workshops and social activities.
The musical programme includes much-loved pieces such as Patrick Hawes’ Quanta Qualia, Ola Gjeilo’s The Rose, and Eleanor Daley’s Upon Your Heart, alongside the world premiere of Eric Wetherell’s Vocalise for choir and saxophone.
Participants will rehearse and perform in two of Bristol’s finest venues: the historic St James’ Priory and the world-renowned St George’s Bristol. The weekend also includes a private recital of The Lark Ascending, a kantele workshop, singing games, and group meal, and a lively pub singalong to round off the event.
All singers will have access to Choir of the Earth’s bespoke online learning resources before the event, allowing them to prepare the music in advance and arrive ready to sing with confidence.
The weekend culminates in a public concert at St George’s as part of the St George’s Festival of Voice 2025, featuring guest performances by the professional Fitzhardinge Consort and saxophonist Ben Waghorn.
Prices start from £330 (non-residential) or £545 with three nights’ hotel accommodation and breakfast included.
