Programme Note
In a change to our original plan, we have decided to celebrate the momentous event of the Coronation of King Charles III with our very own Coronation Concert. This will feature Mozart’s glorious Coronation Mass, together with three further works sung at Coronations: Handel’s uplifting Zadok the Priest, Parry’s I Was Glad, and Stanford’s Coronation Gloria, together with Joanna Forbes L'Estrange's new "Sing for the King" commission The Mountains Shall Bring Peace. We'll finish the concert off in style with a rousing audience-participation rendition of Jerusalem!
Tickets include a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink, so please join us after the concert to celebrate! The running time will be about 70 minutes with no interval.
