At the heart of the programme is Beethoven’s hauntingly beautiful Moonlight Sonata, a masterpiece that continues to captivate audiences with its emotional depth and melodic genius. In 2016, Warren Mailley-Smith became the first British pianist to perform all of Chopin’s solo piano works from memory in an 11-concert series at St John’s Smith Square—an achievement praised by critics as extraordinary. He has performed at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall and Carnegie Hall, and has given numerous performances for the British Royal Family. One of the UK’s most in-demand pianists, he gave over 200 concerts last year alone.
