Remembering Nottingham Sinfonietta
Nottingham Philharmonic returns to West Bridgford
Add to my Calendar 09-03-2024 19:30 09-03-2024 21:30 36 Remembering Nottingham Sinfonietta As it is our 50th birthday, it's a good opportunity to go right back to Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra's roots for this beautiful chamber concert. Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra was originally founded as the Nottingham Sinfonietta and gave its first concert in St Giles' Church, West Bridgford. The first piece on that programme (and on ours) was Hebrides Overture. On that occasion, the concerto soloist was a member of the orchestra, so following in that tradition, our soloists for the concert are our French Horn section (one of whom played in the first Nottingham Sinfonietta concert too!).
