‘Rising star of the piano’ Siqian Li brings a sparkling recital to St James's Church Sussex Garden

Award-winning Chinese pianist Siqian Li will perform in a sparkling recital at St James's Church Sussex Garden, with a stylistically diverse recital of works by Debussy, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Chopin and Liszt at 7.30pm on 26 February 2022.

Siqian’s approach to her work as a pianist is compelling; ever-striving to find the truth within a piece, she invites audiences to have a genuine encounter with classical music. The level of depth Siqian brings to her musical exploration, coupled with her shining pianism, has led to Siqian winning multiple awards. She is the first prize winner of the Chappell Medal Piano Competition 2020 (the Royal College of Music’s top award for pianists) and a semi-finalist of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2018. For more than a decade, Siqian has been sharing her musical talent all around the world. In 2014, she appeared alongside Benjamin Grosvenor and David Fray in a recital at Annecy Classic Festival which was broadcast live on medici.tv, the world’s leading classical music channel.
