Programme Note

This February Collegium Musicum of London Chamber Choir celebrates Valentine’s a day early with a special midweek concert featuring an eclectic collection of love songs spanning six centuries. Choral music by Lassus, Victoria, Mendelssohn, and Whitacre combines with popular favourites by Gershwin, Leiber and Stoller and Billy Joel in a programme illustrating the agony and ecstasy of romantic love. The choir once again returns to its home at St James Garlickhythe in the City of London for a concert designed to appeal to every taste.
