Programme Note

On Saturday, 18 July 2020, St James’s Church, Piccadilly welcomes The Piccadilly Sinfonia for the second live streamed concert featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major. Returning after their recent successful broadcast concert from St James’s Piccadilly, the ensemble’s first live stream from St James’s had over 75,000 views.

Renowned violinist, Martyn Jackson leads The Piccadilly Sinfonia and performs the rapturous solos in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.  Jackson is the leader of the Allegri Quartet and has served as guest Assistant Concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra. Featuring British concert pianist, Warren Mailley-Smith, acclaimed by Classic FM as “stunning”, Saturday’s concert begins with Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major.

Saturday’s concert will be streamed live from 7:30PM on Facebook, and support tickets are available.  All proceeds support the musicians and St James’s Church, Piccadilly.
