Encore Chorale make their UK debut alongside Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir
Add to my Calendar 05-06-2019 20:00 05-06-2019 22:00 36 Encore Chorale: The Age of Creativity Encore Chorale will make their debut tour of the UK with a free concert alongside Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir at St James's Sussex Gardens on 5 June at 8pm. They'll sing a mix of well-loved spiritual classics alongside some finger-snapping jazz gems and lesser-known folk songs. The two choirs will then join together at the close to present Rollo Dilworth's 'Take Me to the Water'. Its founder Jeanne Kelly established Encore Chorale in 2001, after conducting a study that revealed being in a choir helped older adults with physical and mental well-being and feelings of social inclusion. Since then, Encore Chorale has brought 'new feeling, new meaning' (The New York Times) into the lives of its members (of which everyone is over 55 years old).
