Richard Wagner (1860-1911)
Tristan und Isolde (Arrangement in three acts)
A special focus is on "great music in a small format": for example, chamber music arrangements of operas such as Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde" are interpreted! In this way, "great music" can be performed even under restrictions and discovered from completely new perspectives!
A central aspect is the moderation of all concerts.
"Schließlich wagnerte es noch üppig. Die sechs Musiker legten den Glutkern frei. Unendliche Sehnsucht. Flirrende Ekstase. Entrückte Stille. Danach viel Applaus." (FLZ, Juni 2021)
Following on from the great success of "Lohengrin" in the summer of 2020, in keeping with the Corona motto "Great music in a small format", the soloist ensemble D'Accord will perform Wagner's "Tristan and Isolde" in 2021 in a specially created version for string sextet. This concert format with moderation according to the motto "Opera in 1 hour", in which leitmotifs and frame story are presented before each act, already enthused the audience and the press with "Lohengrin" in 2020: "Really successful summary of music, opera and history" (Heidenheimer Zeitung).
For this new version, the most beautiful and dramatic passages of the opera were taken up and combined into a three-movement version according to the three acts.
Organiser: This is a cooperation between "Förderverein D`Accord, the Klassikfestival e. V." & Friends of the KonzertGut Society
