Programme Note
We are delighted that Richard Pearce, one of the choir’s regular accompanists, will launch our Amicus Recital Series. This series is an opportunity for us to showcase some very good friends of the choir, performing a programme of well-known and popular works, interspersed with something less familiar.
Fresh from his regular appearance at the Last Night of the Proms, Richard takes time out to impress with a brace of the world’s most popular toccatas and a selection of beautiful organ music to suit all tastes. Richard started out as an organ scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is now a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama; he plays and broadcasts regularly with the BBC Singers. Expect a little stardust!
