This piece will be complemented by a challenging Stabat Mater by the Norwegian composer Knut Nystedt, J.S. Bach’s Fürchte Dich Nicht, a funeral motet for double choir, John Tavener’s sprawling setting of the Orthodox text Svyati and another liturgical piece by the contemporary Ukrainian composer Galina Grigorjeva, In Paradisum.
