"The PVW Brain Tumor Foundation is set up under the auspices of the Hong Kong Neuro-Oncology Society with the support of the musicians of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. The Foundation was formed in honour of HKPhil Bass Trombonist, Pieter Vance Wyckoff, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March, 2018. The Foundation bears Pieter's name and its mission is to raise awareness of brain tumors in the community, encourage early detection and treament, and to provide funding for patient treatment and to support family needs.
